Jonathan was born in Wenham, MA in 1686 and died on February 19, 1758
He married in Boston, MA on July 28, 1709 to Hannah Hopkins of Boston by Rev. Cotton Mather.
He removed to Boston about 1708. His three older children were born in Boston, the others in Wenham. He probably returned to Wenham, MA about 1718. He served on a jury in 1721, and is then called "of Wenham."
He was a captain of the militia.
He was made a deacon of the first church in Wenham on November 26, 1742 and held this position until his death. He and his wife united with the church February 27, 1737.
He was town clerk 1751 and 1752.
He was a cordwainer by trade.
