Benjamin Kimball

Benjamin Kimball was born in Preston, CT on April 15, 1722 and died in Plainfield, NH in August of 1796  His death was caused by a fall from his mill dam.

He married on November 5, 1745 to Hannah Richards.

He was a farmer and a miller. 

He resided in Preston, CT, until 1768.  On February 12, 1768, he bought land in Plainfield, NH, of Robert Wilson of Cornish, NH, which once belonged to W. Clift.  He also purchased other land there on July 9, 1768.  He joined the emigration of Connecticut people who settled many towns in Vermont and New Hampshire, and was living in Plainfield on June 16, 1784.

He was selectman of Plainfield in 1775.  He was an assessor of Plainfield in 1773.
