Oliver Kimball
(Richard, Benjamin, Robert, Oliver)

Oliver was born on December 7, 1745 in Salem, NH and died there on April 20, 1821.

He married Mary Allen of Salem, NH.  She was born on March 17, 1751 and died on February 6, 1846.

He was a soldier of the Revolution and was at Bunker Hill, and was in the midst of the battle at Bunker Hill, on August 1, 1775.  On August 22, 1775, Salem town meeting adjourned, at which time Oliver Kimball, Jr., was chose "Ins'n." On October 16, 1775, he was in Capt. Woodbury's Co., and he was in the same company in 1776. 

He was selectman of Salem in 1793.  He lived and died in Salem, NH.

On his tombstone at Salem is the inscription:
    "Death's sudden stroke dissolved my feeble frame.
    Reader prepare, your fate may be the same."

On her tombstone are these lines:
    "Thou hast reached a happy shore,
    Sorrow thou canst know no more;
    Rest thee, rest thou lovely one,
    While we linger here alone."
