Ebenezer Kimball

Ebenezer was born in Haverhill, MA on April 17, 1740 and died on April 1, 1825, aged 85 years. His tombstone has the following on it: "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of the Saints."
He married Molly Ladd of Portsmouth, NH
Early in 1758 great preparations were made for the reduction of Canada by expeditions against Louisburg, Ticonderoga, and Crown Point. This year Ebenezer Kimball enlisted in the expedition under Col. John Osgood for the above object; April 2, 1758, for Lake George. On April 4, 1759 he enlisted in Capt. Edmund Moore's Co., Col. Bagley's Regt., and again enlisted on November 2, 1759. He was discharged on January 12, 1761
He sold land received from his father's estate to Dr. William Fairfield and David Remick.
He joined the Shaker colony at Canterbury, NH, but left them, however and settled in Lyme, NH.

3. Sarah (6), b. 24 Jul 1772; m. MJ Bishop. Resided at Lyme, NH. Died in Greene Co., NY
4. Polly (6), She joined the Shakers in Canterbury, NH, where she died, very aged.
5. Ruth (6), b. 8 May 1775; m. Reuben Tuttle. Resided in Peacham VT and d. there
6. Abner (6), b. 15 Aug 1780. He joined the Shakers and lived to a very old age, at their settlement in Canterbury NH
7. Elipalet (6-785), b. in Haverhill MA 10 May 1782
