Barnard was born in Haverhill, MA on January 10, 1744 and died in Salem, NH on May 11, 1825.
He married on July 25, 1771 to Elizabeth Ayer. She was born in 1753 and died in Salem, NH on August 20, 1826.
They resided in Salem, NH.
He was constable in 1795, and for several years before. "Jan 7, 1775. The Mark of Barnett Kimball's Cattle and other creatures is a half Crop on the under side of each ear."
His epitaph is: God my redeamer lives
And often from the skies
Looks down and watches all my dust,
Till he shall bid it rise.
Her epitaph is: Her dust and ruins that
remain,
Are precious to our eyes,
Her ruins shall be built again,
And all that dust shall arise.
