Samuel was born in Boxford, MA on May 6, 1748 and died in 1802.
He married on May 23, 1782 to Eunice Upton, the daughter of Francis Upton and his 2nd wife, Edith Herrick. She died in 1797 aged 43.
He married, second, in Marblehead, MA on January 15, 1800, to Mary (Mugford) Putnam, the daughter of General James Mugford. She was born in 1768 and died on April 25, 1847.
He was a corporal in Capt. Jacob Gould's Co., on April 19, 1775 in the War of the Revolution.
He was a cooper by trade and resided in Boxford, MA.
CHILDREN:
1. Samuel (7-860), b. 4 Jan 1801
2. Mary (7), b. 11 Apr 1802; d. 20 May 1868. She never married. She left the residue of her property for the support of the schools in the town of Boxford.
