Sullivan Cicero Kimball was born in Hopkinton, NH on July 21, 1838
He married on February 12, 1866 to Julia A.A. Ayer who was born on May 30, 1848 and died on October 29, 1866 in Weare, NH.
He married, 2nd, on May 25, 1868 to Ednah A Shaw who was born on July 16, 1850
He was graduated from Dartmouth College in 1860. He taught a female seminary at Albany, NY for six months. He became commissioner of deed in December of 1860 and read law until October, 1861. He was also the assistant editor of the daily Statesman, and its reporter for the state senate debates, until April, 1863, when he began to study theology with the Baptists.
He was licensed to preach in 1864. He graduated at the New Hampshire Theological Seminary at Concord, NH in 1866. He was pastor of the church at North Weare from 1864-66; at Newmarket, NH from 1867-8; at Wells Beach, ME from 1869-70; at Gilmanton Village, NH from 1871-4; at Centre Strafford, NH from 1875-9; at Barrington, NH from 1880-1; principal of Austin Academy, Strafford, NH 1875-9; of Contoocook and Riverside academies (NH), 1883-5.
He has been secretary of the New Hampshire Christian Association; editor and proprietor of the Christian Witness since 1880, and has published various sermons, tracts, and other articles. He is a life member of the Free Will Baptist Educational Society, and Home Missionary Society, and in 1886 was home missionary and general agent of the New Hampshire Christian Association.
